The vehicle recovery business of Harsányi és Fia Kft. was established in 2003. The activity itself was started by Ferenc Harsányi Sr. in 1990, alongside bodywork repair services, initially as a supplementary service.
By 2003, vehicle recovery had become the company’s main profile, and the business was transformed into a limited liability company together with Ferenc Harsányi Jr.
Our company began its work with a car transport trailer, which was soon expanded with an AVIA A30 recovery truck. In 1993 and 1994, our fleet was renewed with one new factory-built AVIA 31 recovery truck each year. In 1997, an older vehicle was replaced by a Daewoo Avia A75 recovery truck. Due to growing demand, in 2002 we expanded our fleet with another recovery vehicle, a Mercedes Sprinter 416.
In January 2005, a custom-built Mercedes-Benz Atego 1223 crane recovery truck, specially manufactured for us, entered service. One year later, we once again modernised our recovery fleet with a brand-new Iveco EuroCargo 75E17 Eurotechnik slide-bed recovery truck equipped with a lifting fork.
In addition to vehicle recovery requests, we were increasingly approached for the transportation of machinery and large equipment. Therefore, in 2007, we put into service a low-loader trailer suitable for oversized transport.
Due to changes in the economic environment, the oversized transport unit was sold in 2013. In the same year, we purchased another individually manufactured recovery vehicle, a Ford Ranger Mini City Evolution, equipped with a lifting fork and suitable for transporting passenger cars.
In 2018, we replaced the Ford with a new model. In the autumn of 2021, we began renewing our fleet with a 2017 Mercedes-Benz Atego 1023 Eurotechnik slide-bed recovery truck equipped with a lifting fork. In 2022, we parted with several of our older vehicles.
In January 2023, our fleet was expanded with its newest member: a 2021 Mercedes-Benz Atego equipped with a slide bed and lifting fork.
We currently operate with 4 vehicles, serving our contracted partners as well as our existing and new clients. Over the past 20 years, our services have been used by assistance service providers and their customers.
Our partners include various public authorities, vehicle repair shops and authorised brand service centres, agricultural machinery dealers and contractors, as well as construction investors.
We provide our vehicle recovery services in Nyíregyháza and its surrounding area 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, our vehicle recovery service is also available throughout Hungary and across the European Union.
